The Wild Bunch ) is an American film directed by Sam Peckinpah released in 1969 , with the actors main: William Holden , Ernest Borgnine , Robert Ryan , Edmond OÂ’Brien , Warren Oates , Jaime Snchez and Ben Johnson .

The film, which takes place on the border between Texas and Mexico , chronicles the last days of a band of bandits trying to exist in a modern world that no longer suits them. Controversial because of his violence, he is famous for his very dynamic and complex staging , using multi-angle effects, very short shots and then revolutionary slowing down in 1969 .

Presented by Sam Peckinpah as “just what happens when killers go to Mexico,” The Wild Horde actually echoes the images of the Vietnam War that then divides America. It is an epic of defeat and all values , including religious ones. Based on a scenario of western , Peckinpah depicts a pessimistic and immoral world, where progress proves destructive, and whose violence is sparing nothing and no one, not even the children.
