Description
Antique 19th c. Large Pair of Vion et Baury of Paris Porcelain Masquerade Ball Figures. Delicately hand painted. Both have the Vion Baury green anchor hallmark. Founded by Gille in 1837 in the rue Paradis-Poissonniere, Paris, the porcelain firm was taken over in 1868 by Vion and Baury, who moved it in 1875 to the Choisy-le-Roy. The green anchor mark comes form this date: 1875 to 1889. Gentleman missing pinky. Each approximately 9"x7"x22". Weight combined 30 pds. PROVENANCE: A Private Charleston SC Collection
