Condition
Handwritten inscription to underside of charger reads: "Taylorville Ill. May 20th, 1886/ This dish I present to my grandson/ Walter J. Johnson in token of regard/ for his many kindnesses to me. This dish/ was brought from England about one/ hundred and forty years ago by his great great grandmother and is about two hundred years old, perhaps more./ Sophia Osborne."
