Description
The Sabre Stock for Leica. Complete with built-in double cable release, Leica IIlf Red Dial Nr. 641112, 400mm Telyt f5 with lens shade, Nr. 1097053, Visoflex I Nr. 27786 and PEGOO viewfinder. Working. The camera shutter is sticky and the lens shows slight signs of haze and light cleaning marks.
Made in 1956-1957 by a Leica parts supplier, The Sabre Photographic Supply Company in Chicago, and designed for making action pictures with large telephoto lenses. The Sabre Stock was never marketed by Leitz, and only produced for a short time. Perhaps a few hundred of these exquisite wooden camera stocks exist, although the exact number is not known. A treasure for any Leica aficionado.
