Description
Late 19th to early 20th c. Bwoom Mask, Kuba Peoples, Kasai region, Democratic Republic of Congo, in carved wood, embellished with cowrie shells, glass beads, seed pods, fibre and goatskin. One of three types of royal masks, used in foundation ritual performances. On a lexan museum stand. Roughly 15" x 10" x 12". Very good condition.
