Rare and unusual antique celluloid doll by Schildkrot is a topsy turvy with black and white celluloid faces, with the rest of the doll made of cloth. The faces are pinned on with straight pins. The entire doll measures about 9 1/2" long (24.1 cm). While both faces appear to have Caucasian features, they have different hairstyles. The dolls are marked on the front of the neck, with the turtle logo and 8 1/2. The absence of a diamond around the turtle dates it prior to 1912. A very cool antique doll for the celluloid or topsy turvy collector!

Both faces have splits as shown in the photos, and some paint loss, and need cleaning. The original clothing has holes and is very faded. Smells dusty, but not mildewed.
