Pair of Louis XVI Style Polychromed Mahogany Long Benches, early 20th c., with thick removable cushions on a relief carved skirt, on six turned tapered reeded legs, with iron tack decoration, in pale green polychromy, one in wide gray striped silk fabric; the other in orange and gray relief silk, H.- 20 in., W.- 56 in., D.-16 in. (2 Pcs.) Provenance: Private Collection of A Local Antiquarian, Garden District, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Condition
Paint is worn in many spots showing wood. Upholstery is clean and in good condition. 5 or 6 black drips on skirt of orange example. A handsome pair.
