"Born in Budapest, Hungary and resident in Israel for nearly forty years, Joseph Kossogi has reached down to the grass roots of life in this country. He is well known among the lovers of art. His paintings reflect a very personal style based on lightness of touch and a dream like element in his composition; at the same time he has retained the figurative expressionist approach, Kossonogi's favorite subjects are landscapes, interiors, women and group compositions. He has received many awards and regularly exhibits very fine works at local and abroad showings.
