Description
Late Dynastic Period, 712-343 B.C. A solid bronze cast with a tenon below the rear legs, seated with ears erect and its tail curled around the right side. Bronze cats were used as votive offerings made in the temple of the cat goddess Bastet. Height 3-1/4".
