Description

H.T. Cushman Adjustable Candle Stand Antique American Colonial Furniture c.1930

Tripod base with threaded column and adjustable bar with two candle sockets complete with their original brass insets. Vermont, c.1930.
Civil war soldier and furniture designer H.T. Cushman produced the Old Puritan Candle Stand as an " exact copy of Wallace Nutting pieces " before his 1936 Colonial line of furniture and it is listed in 1930s Cushman catalog.

Table is approximately 34 inches high and approximately 12 inches in diameter.

Condition

Dull spotty/ stained original finish, table surface is warped, metal shows green oxidation, remains of wax, sold as pictured.
