Item Details

Description

Made for the 1876 Centennial International Exposition in Philadelphia, depicting Memorial Hall Art Gallery at the center flanked by the Main Exhibition Building, the Machinery Hall, the Horticultural Hall, and the Agricultural Hall, topped by the Great Seal of the US shield, on a red field with scrolling bunting, star, and foliate decoration.

Dimensions: Sight 24 3/8" x 24 3/8", the frame 27 1/2" x 27 1/2".

Provenance: From a Main Line collection.

Condition

Discoloration, stains, some holes/threadbare areas at the bottom right, a few minor pulled threads. Not examined out of the frame.
