Printed broadside on stiff board ordering Japanese-American Internment, five months after Pearl Harbor 1942. (22x14").
Those subject to the order were to report "to the Civil Control Station located at 1530 Buchanan Street" between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M." on May 6 and 7, 1942. "Any person subject to this order who fails to comply with any of its provisions...or who is found in the above area after 12 o'clock noon" on Monday, May 11, would be "liable" to "criminal penalties"..." and "alien Japanese will be subject to immediate apprehension and internment."
"Instructions to All Persons of Japanese Ancestry" in "that portion of the City and County San Francisco...within that boundary beginning at the intersection of Presidio Avenue and Sutter Street...Easterly on Sutter Street to Van Ness Avenue...southerly on Van Ness Avenue to O'Farrell Street...westerly on O'Farrell Street to St. Joseph's Avenue... northerly on St Joseph's Ave..."
