The center interior medallion and the outer rim adorned with swims carp in the pons interspersed with water plants and foliage. Each section banded and enclosed with double fine blue rings. The Carp Similar sounding to the word "Business" in Chinese, the carp symbolizes a wish for benefit or advantage in business, and accepted to represent longevity, wealth, abundance, and perseverance. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.
