Description
Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong douqing glazed vase. The porcelain potted in thick, bulbous body, slight ovoid, tapered to slender slight short neck, further to thick ring head shape, emerge two archaic ribbon flanked on the neck, raised on small foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in Douqing glaze covered, all reserved in pale green celadon underglaze ground, the green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human pale white skin. Masterfully covered in an even coat of a pale green glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The deep green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze, amazing crackling effect throughout the underglaze which produces fantastic a smooth textured surface. Emerge four rib molded in form of a traditional hair pin along the main body and the upper head open lip. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The bottle vase fitted unto a Japanese wooden lidded box.
The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
