Description
Oil on canvas board 24 x 18 in. She the biographer of artist Tom Bostelle (previous lot). These both come from the same estate. The following is her obituary: Born on February 17, 1927, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Streltzoff Kunsky. She was a graduate of high school at the early age of sixteen. She earned a degree in Business and Teaching from the University of Pennsylvania, where she met her husband. She later earned her art degree from the University of Delaware. In the 1970's she opened an art studio with well known local artist, Tom Bostelle. They were able to leave the traditional art world to become independent by selling their work from the studio. She organized their shows and became Bostelle's unofficial biographer. Tania, with her wit, charm, sense of style, and love of art and ideas, helped make the Aeolian Palace a salon of the old fashioned kind, reminiscent of St. Petersburg in the 19th century or Paris at the turn of the last century than of West Chester, Pennsylvania, in the 21st century. As an artist, Tania's style was uniquely personal and ever evolving throughout her life. Her work will be enjoyed and appreciated by many future generations and stands as a testimony to her remarkable talent.
