Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Golden Vase. The entire bottle is decorated with tumbling clouds and burning flames, the oriental dragons feiteng among it in pursuit of a "flaming pearl", the scales of the dragon are delicate and clear, head and paw carvings come to lifelikeness. The same decoration on the vase lid，stylized "huizi" pattern on the edges. The lower part of the bottle is carved with tumbling waves and rocks above the water. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The emperor Qianlong liked this type of ornate container very much.
