Description

Two impressive privately taken photos of the meeting between Adolf Hitler and Finnish Marshal Mannerheim. This visit of Hitler to Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim the day of the Finnish Marshal's 75th birthday was a kind of present that was a complete secret for the Finnish society. Hitler wanted to convince Mannerheim to collaborate with Nazi Germany fighting the Russians in the North. Mannerheim refused. This man is considered a hero in Finland and he was one of the best generals in Europe during WW2. He was decorated both by Nazi Germany and Communist Russia. Photos are developed in Agfa Brovira paper and they show both personalities with high detail. We can see Mannerheim wearing the highest decoration of the Order of the German Eagle as well as the Knight's Cross.
