Roman Imperial coinage > Galeria Valeria, wife of Galerius, 305-311 AD: AE Follis (24 x 23.5mm, 6.15g), Alexandria mint, struck 308-310 AD; diademed and draped bust facing right (Egyptian-looking and proportional figure) & legend GAL VAL|ERIA AVG / Venus standing facing, head to left, holding up apple in right hand and raising drapery over shoulder with left (hands close to head) & legend VENERI V|ICTRICI (with INVERTED letter "R") & mintmark ALE in exergue & letters K G P in field on either side of the figure. General reference: RIC VI 110 (designs vary); choice EF, obverse well centered & reverse nearly so, excellent strike & details + full legends & chocolate-brown patina; coin alignment.
