Suite of Eight Louis XV-Style Hardwood Chairs

comprised of a pair of armchairs and six side chairs, each with gilt-lacquered ormolu mounts, a serpentine front seat rail and cabriole legs, the seats and backs in ivory upholstery.

**In good "as found" condition. The surfaces exhibit normal rubbing and wear, some minor past repairs, shrinkage and indications of age and use.

The chairs are generally tight and sturdy except as noted: An arm on each armchair is loose. One side chair exhibits movement at the juncture of the stiles and seat rails.

Two chairs are missing an ormolu mount from a foot. One is missing its mount from the top of the leg.

The upholstery exhibits some small stains to the seats and one back cushion.
