1970s large Cartier rectangle case watch in a 20 micron electroplated case. These early Cartier electroplated case models where made differently than the later ones signed must de Cartier. This model has a large and very appealing size measuring. 27.7 mm across by 37.5 mm in length. The dial on this watch is refinished and original and signed only with Cartier. It is white with large Roman numerals. The bezel is stepped and very wide. The winding/time setting crown is also original Cartier with the blue stone center. The band on the watch is aftermarket. The text on the back of the case reads as follows: Cartier PLAQUE OR G 20 M SWISS. The movement used here is the mechanical ETA 2512 17 jewels signed Cartier. The 18K gold plating is in a remarkable state for the age of this watch. This is a rare and collectible Cartier watch.
