Description
Emile Vignes (1896-1983) was a French photographer of everyday life and later became known as a landscape artist. "After the storm", was taken in the winter of 1928 in Capbreton of a three-masted Portuguese flag on the beach, following a particularly violent storm. This photograph was exhibited in 1929 in New York and gained him international recognition.
