Bisque socket head, brown lever-operated eyes, painted lashes, multi-feathered brows over soft brown undercoat, mauve-blushed eyelids, pierced ears, closed mouth with pale, lovely tinting and accents, brown human hair wig over original purple cardboard pate, marked Steiner composition jointed body with straight wrists, caduceus stamp on hip, pink silk frock, shirred aqua bonnet, old brown leather shoes. Commentary: Fabulous quality bisque and workmanship on the circa 1858 bebe; delicate facial decoration and blushing of eyelids, ears, cheeks and chin; excellent original body with original finish; right lower eye rim has invisible repair at inner corner; otherwise excellent condition.
