Description
A Very fine ancient Ushabti from Egypt likely dating to the Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A faience ushabti (or shabti), standing in mummiform, with a tripartite wig, false beard, and visible facial features. Both hands hold the symbolic pick and hoe to sow the fields of Osiris in the afterlife. Custom wooden base included. The Ushabti Measures 5 inches on wooden base ( 4 inches tall itself) Provenance: The Dr Brian Healy estate, New York.
