Description
Hevajra with Deities and Protectors Thangka, Tibet, c.18th-19th century, gouache on cotton, 33.5 x 25 inches, in a cherry wood frame 42 x 32 inches, central figure wrathful, dark blue in union with Nairatmya, dancing posture with one foot trampling humans, atop lotus base, hands holding numerous skull cups, middle left is Vajrayogini in a standing posture, middle right Vajrapani, numerous lamas and deities at top, bottom with ring of 8 dakinis and 3 wrathful protectors beneath them. Himalayan Art Resources number 90531.
Condition
