Fine and tight Bacon Pocket Model Revolver, made circa 1860 in Norwich, Connecticut. Thomas K. Bacon was the founder of the company and was also involved with the Manhattan Fire Arms Co. as the superintendent. BaconÂ’s arms were popular on the commercial market and many made their way onto Civil War battlefields being privately purchased by soldiers.

There remains significant original blue finish on the barrel, as well as nestled in the bottoms of the cylinder flutes. The loading lever displays whispers of case colors. The walnut stocks are in very good condition with some worm damage as shown. There is a spot of pitting on the left rear of the frame where the shooter's thumb would rest. The serial number is 278 and barrel legend is strong and legible. Only 3,000 of these revolvers were made. The action is excellent and the bore is in good condition.
