Description

ULTRA RARE Boxed Short Flying Boat, complete with propellers & 2 machine guns. 1 piece, only offered 1937-1939. Condition very good, wire to stretch across the room so plane can fly with props revolving is gone, but replacement wire is provided. Box is very good, original lid has had some edge restoration. Short issue period & an original high price contribute to fact that there are hardly any flying boats in existence today. Fine boxed example, incredibly rare. Provenance: Ed Ruby Collection & subsequently Marshall Paris Collection. Pictured in J. Opie's Great Book of Britains page 307.
