Warren Lee Goss’ book ‘The Soldier's Story’ is a rare Civil War story of prison life in Andersonville Prison illustrated by Nast. This work covers a description of the prisons, the hostility of the inmates, administrators, prison conditions, horrors of prisoner suffering and torture, and much more!

This 1873 edition is embellished with a beautiful presentation page and four full page illustrations, by Thomas Nast, a steel portrait of the author, several maps drawn from actual measurements including a fold-out plan of the Andersonville Prison Grounds, and many accurate illustrations of prison life, taken from Confederate photographs!
