Circa 1780, likely Virginia or Maryland. The piece having a molded top above nicely glazed doors with fine mullions continuing down to fall front which opens to well appointed interior all above four slightly graduated drawers, the case resting atop ball and claw feet at front and ogee bracket foot in back. Mahogany with Yellow pine secondary wood throughout. Constructed with rose head nails and dovetailed joints. The piece having yellow pine backboards at bottom and poplar at top. The piece having full dust boards in yellow pine. H86" W39 1/2" D24" Sold from the collection of a Camden, SC gentleman. Acquired by him at an auction in Alabama two decades ago.
