Denis Kitchen originally drew this image as the cover for the third issue of Comix Book, an experimental "underground comix" magazine Kitchen edited for Marvel Comics in 1974. This cover was inspired by Stan Lee's rejection of a risqué Bill Stout cover proposal; Steve Krupp here acts as a stand-in for Lee. Accompanying the print is a large envelope (15" x 21") addressed to publisher Jeff Weinberg, wonderfully decorated with the curiously compelling original art of Denis Kitchen.

Color serigraph with ten hand-pulled colors on heavy rag paper. Image area: 6.25" x 7.5". 100 prints were made, of which this is an out-of-limitation presentation copy given by Kitchen to Water Row Press owner Jeffrey Weinberg. Excellent condition.
