Chaim Gross US/Poland 1904-1991 Gross is a well known Jewish artist and is noted for his Judaic works. The work is titled "Dancers". “Dancers" is a stone-pulled lithograph on paper, it is signed, numbered (from an edition of 200), and dated, 1966, in pencil. Measures: 16 1/4 x 11 1/2" - sight.22 1/4" x 17" exterior frame The complete edition size: 235 Breakdown: 1/200 - 200/200 published for the North American marketplace. 35 Roman numeraledition. His sculpture series of Dancers was accepted at the Forum Gallery, NYC in March of the same year. He was also appointed professor of printmaking at two different New York City universities. Gross was best known as a sculptor but demonstrated his versatility in his collection of Dancers, Nudes, Landscapes and the Jewish holidays and other Judaic artistic subjects. Many of his limited-edition works were created as drawings for his original large sculptures. Chaim Gross was an American sculptor and was born to a Jewish family in Austria/Poland. At the end of WW l the Gross family moved to New York City. Gross began exhibiting both his sculpture and graphic art in 1935, and was 1 of 250 sculptors who exhibited in the 3rd Sculpture International held at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. He took 3rd place.

Work is in excellent condition. Frame very good- minor scratches/abrasions.
