Fascinating and informative snapshot of the burgeoning megalopolis of Los Angeles a decade after the end of World War Two, with over 100 color maps of various areas, regional maps, street indexes, statistical analyses on population, dwelling units, population characteristics, housing characteristics, family income, retail trade, and much more. OCLC/WorldCat lists five copies, locating four of them, giving the date as 1954, but internal evidence suggests the proper date is 1955. The only copy residing in California is at the Los Angeles Public Library.
