Attributed to the House of Clauss, Paris, Circa 1850
Length 36 1/4 inches.
A similar example illustrated in Catherine Dike's La Canne Objet d'Art (p. 247, no. 20), entitled "John with laughter, John with tears," is attributed to the House of Clauss, in Paris.
