Description
Artist Bio:
Hiroshi Sugimoto (1948) is a Japanese photographer and architect. He leads the Tokyo-based architectural firm New Material Research Laboratory. One night in 1980 he asked himself "Can someone today view a scene just as primitive man might have? Although the land is always changing it's form, the sea he thought was immutable. So he began his travels back through time to the ancient seas of the world. This photo is from the resulting "Seascape" Series.
