The reference 1578 was manufactured from 1943 until approximately 1965. The reference 1578 is immediately distinguished by its faceted "spider lugs". The model was cased in yellow, pink and white gold, featuring both subsidiary seconds and centre seconds. The present watch is offered by the grandson of the original owner, Mr. F. K. Brooks, who was gifted the timepiece for his 25th anniversary at GMOO (General Motors Overseas Operations).

In very good condition. Case with little scratches on the surface. Some oxidation on hour markers. Slight scratches to crystal. The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
