Description

Louis XVI style fauteuil, the frame veneered and inlaid with tulip and kingwood in a leaf, swag and vine design, with gold velvet upholstery. Carved and inlaid rosettes at the seat rail atop round fluted tapering legs, ebonized in the crevices. Minor shrinkage and abrasions,area of loss to tip of one foot, overall very good condition. 34" H x 24" W x 18" D. Continental or possibly American, 19th century. Provenance: Nashville, TN Collection.
