A Blanc-de-Chine Porcelain Figure of Guanyin
19TH CENTURY
the deity depicted seated on rockery besides a small standing scholar, her left hand lowered, bearing a large ruyi scepter, the right hand raised, wearing flowing robes and elaborate beaded jewelry, her hair combed into a high chignon. Ê
Height 12 1/2 in., 32 cm.
Purchased in Nanking, China during year 1947-1948, thence by descent

Condition
Overall in good condition with minor firing imperfections. Two fingers of the Guanyin's right hand were broken.
