Description
1758 The ODYSSEY Homer Mythology Greek & Latin Samuel Clarke Trojan War

“Of all creatures that breathe and move upon the earth, nothing is bred that is weaker than man.”

― Homer, ‘The Odyssey’

A rare 18th-century printing of the famous Classical Greek epic, the ‘Odyssey’ by Homer. This poem portrays Greek mythological heroes, their military conquests, and involvement in the Trojan War. This work, along with Homer’s ‘Iliad’, has been printed and reprinted countless times, but editions that feature both Greek and Latin translations like this one are considered scarce.

This 1758 second volume was edited by Samuel Clarke and features both Latin and Greek in parallel. Contains the COMPLETE Odyssey
