GERMAN WW2 U-BOAT SUBMARINE U-999 CAR PENNANT
The pennant was belonged to the car of captain Oblt. in 1944. The pennant is really nice but all the blue color is gone and the silver insignias are now gray.
Please notice in the 3rd picture we have pulled back the bunting material with my finger to show you the blue color. The blue color can be seen hiding all along that seam.
Type VIIC/41. Commissioned: Oct 21 1943. Fate: Scuttled Date: May 5 1945. Unlike many other U-Boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes. U-999 did not suffer any casualties we know of until the time of her loss. Please note: last image is for sample only.
TEST: This particular item passed very important test - it does not glow under the black lamp (all fabrics made after 1945 glow under the black light) - please look at the images. Also the piece have an old smell that old authentic cloth keeps.

Germany had the largest submarine fleet of the revived German War Navy (Kriegsmarine) from 1935 into World War II (1939-1945), since the Armistice of November 11th, 1918 scuttled most of the old Imperial German Navy from the First World War and the following Treaty of Versailles of 1919.
