Mounted with a bronze medallion, descriptive plaque, and color portrait of Grant. In frame. Ulysses S. Grant (1822-1885) was an American soldier and politician who served as President of the United States from 1869 to 1877. Before his presidency, he served as Commanding General of the U.S. Army, leading troops through the American Civil War.
