iron red Daoguang reign seal mark, scalloped gilt rim and ring foot, finely enamel decorated with figures in interior scenes and garden settings with character text, 2-1/2 x 6-3/4 in. diameter - Provenance: Collected in Shanghai, China prior to 1902 by Frederick and Margaret Haskell; By descent in family to Frances Arnold; Private Collection, Newnan, Georgia - Note:ÿObjects from this personal collection were acquired in Shanghai, China between the years 1862-1902. They were collected by Frederick and Margaret Haskell. Mr. Haskell was the owner of the Japan and China Trading Company. The couple retired to Lake Weir Florida in 1902, bringing these collected objects with them to the United States and they descended through the family to current day.
