Description

Early Cincinnati Limoges-style hand built vase decorated in 1879 by Mary Louise McLaughlin with branches of salmon pink penta blossoms in slip relief against a dark cloud-like backdrop. Height 6 1/2 inches. Incised Cincinnati, 1879, McLaughlin’s butterfly symbol, 88 within a circle and the artist’s L. McL script monogram. Well defined life-like floral. The rim may have had minor flaking, was professionally repaired and the vase completely oversprayed.
