Description

Good Rookwood Vellum plaque entitled “Autumn” done in 1929 by Fred Rothenbusch. The large tile features a dirt road running through tall trees with several small houses visible in the background, an unexpected but enjoyable bonus. A small pond sits beside the road. Signed in the lower right hand corner by the artist and marked with the Rookwood logo and date on the back. An original Rookwood typewritten label carries the notation “Autumn F. Rothenbusch.” Housed in its original frame the tile is uncrazed and very clean. Great composition and color. Size is 9 x 14 1/8 inches.
