of the Pablo Picasso masterpiece, “Seated Woman”
One of many portraits of Dora Maar painted by Pablo Picasso over their nearly
decade-long relationship. Picasso fell in love with the 29-year old Maar at the
age of 55 and soon began living with her. Maar was one of the most influential
figures in Picasso’s life during their relationship and she also became
his primary model.
Lithograph 13 x 17.5 inch paper and image size is
11 x 15. This is one of a Limited Edition “After” Means that it is a copy of the artist’s work. For Example, Old Masters created many oil paintings throughout their careers. Some of these were reproduced after as lithographs on paper. These “After” works were approved by the Old Master, but a skilled artisan created the original lithographic plate rather than Old Master
