Description
A pair of Inca stone llama conopas, c. AD 1300 - 1500, one carved in a speckled marble the other in a dark brown stone, both used for ritual offering or as charms. 1 5/8 x 2 5/8 in (4.2 x 6.7 cm), the other 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 in (4.4 x 5.7 cm). Ex collection of Prof. Theodore Gaster; Ex Florida private collection acquired from the estate of Prof. Gaster in 1992.
