English George III period sterling silver ladle with shell form bowl, hallmarked for London, 1788 by silversmiths George Smith & William Fearn, with engraved armorial crest of arm with hand grasping fleur-de-lis and motto 'Vive et Vivant' (Live and Let Live) on the handle. 12 3/4" long, 3 1/2" wide bowl, 3.98 ozt. Good condition.
