Chinese 19 Century Fuzhou Lacquer Framed Plaque with an inlaid design of Swallows in flight carved from shells with additional inlay, a wood carved branch with shell inlaid white prunus flowers and shell flakes imitating snow along the base, the frame in lacquered wood-grain with an attached Chinese bronze center hanger. Total height without hanger 17 inches (43.2 cm.) X total width 23 inches (58.4 cm.).

Age related wear to lacquers and inlay, shrinkage cracks to lacquer background, cracks and blisters along edge between plaque and frame, to joined corners and along rear base of frame.
