Description
A Chinese silk embroidery scroll after Zhang Ze Duan (Song Dynasty, 1085-1145). "Qingming River Map, Rainbow Bridge." Inscription along left reads "Song Dynasty Painter Zhang Ze Duan’s Qingming River Map reflected a very important historical culture. The painter used Qingming festival in north Song city, rainbow bridge as the center, to reflect variance activities from different levels of people, painted the picture of the society and culture during this historical time, is a forever treasure in our country’s painting history." Comes with custom wooden box inscribed "Bian Xiou." Overall Approximately: 16 1/2" x 67".Provenance: From the collection of Anna Chennault (Chen Xiangmei).
