Additional Info: 1/6 plate daguerreotype, rather than being photographed on his horse with his six shooters at his waist, this young eastern cowboy dude chose to pose with his mother in this sixth plate image. The boy about two years old, has soft blue eyes and a kind expression as he nestles comfortably against his mothers side. She is wearing a fancy bonnet (and if you look very closely to the right she moved her head just as the lens was uncapped then remained still). A heavy plaif shawl partially coveres her plain black dress. Full case. This image came from noted Dealer Dennis Waters . Full case with blue pad.
