14th-15th century AD. A glazed ceramic pot with lid, bands of blue geometric and foliage decoration to the sidewall, central rosette to the lid with surrounding hatched band. 161 grams, 80mm (3"). Property of a North London gentleman; previously in a private collection formed in the 1990s. The H?i An wreck in the South China Sea was discovered in the 1990s. Annamese H?i An pottery was made in modern-day Vietnam in the kilns at Chu Dou, the most important kilns in the 14th-15th century in the kingdom of Annam. [No Reserve]
