LEE, ROBERT E. Letter Signed, "R. E. Lee", December 1, 1860, 1 p., San Antonio, Texas, to Col. S. Cooper, Adjutant Gen'l, U.S.A. Beautifully matted with a hand colored engraving, ready for framing.

Lee writes from "Head Quars. Dept. of Texas" in San Antonio. In full, "I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of the following official papers from your office since the 15th ultimo, viz: General Orders No. 23, Adjutant Generals Office. Special Orders No. 234, and extracts from Sp'l Ors Nos 231, 235 and 241."
